- Assess current and future “circuit loading”
- Amount of data to be transmitted on a circuit
- Focus on either average or peak circuit traffic
- Estimate size and type of “standard” and “advanced” circuits for each LAN, BN, WAN
- Should “standard” LAN circuit be 10Base-T or higher
