Getting started and what you see:
In the left side you have the Folder list (top), and Tag properties and CSS Properties (bottom) panels. To create a new page just select File New and choose the type of page, in our case HTML. Of course you can also open an existing page.
In the righ side you have the Toolbox (top) and the Apply Styles and Manage Styles (bottom) panels.
In the center you have the page you are working on: you can see it as code, design and split between code and design as in the example.
In the top you have a menu and toolbar. The right most part of the toolbar is familiar, including, lists, table, borders and colors. The leftmost part requires our attention as shown below:
The first symbol starts a new page,
the next a new site (a set of pages). In this case you can select one or more pages or a template to create a site.
This is followed by Open (an existing page), Save, Save All,
SuperPreview (view in two browsers at a time),
Preview in a variety of browsers and screen resolutions (many or one at a time, and you can edit the list, too), and
a Style menu, Font menu and Font Size menu. Of course you can also undo/redo.
Follow this Basic Website with Expression Web - Video Tutorial for a detailed overview on how to create a Web site with Expression Web.
