Pros and cons of ASP

• Pros:

  • simpler to program in Windows, using VBScript or JavaScript
  • ASP.dll is loaded in the same space than IIS
  • designed to support data bases

• Cons:

  • Mostly restricted to Windows platform (20+% of servers)
