Prepare your workspace

To place these icons on your desktop:

Taking the picture
- double-click on the capture icon.
- see yourself on the screen (move the SGI camera and you , as needed).
- in the left lower side of the capture screen select the camera symbol.
- when the image is to your satisfaction click on the record button in the right bottom side to take the picture.
- this will create a file yourpict.rgb in your present directory ("yourpict" can be any name you decide to give to it)
Editting the picture
- double-click on the imageworks icon.
- open the yourpict.rgb file.
- increase a little the brightness (for better view on PCs).
- crop the image as needed
- save as yourpict.tiff .

If you do not like it, go back to imageworks increase the brightness. etc. If too little or too big, either crop it again, or take your picture again, etc. Keep playing with it until you are happy with your picture.
