Selected Tax Web Sites

Note: This is not meant to be a comprehensive list. New sites become available every day, and even the best search engines cover fractions of the web at best. And as with all web sites, you should keep the principle of caveat emptor (let the buyer beware) in mind. If you know of, or come across web sites on this topic that you would recommend that are not already listed, feel free to email me, or let me know by clicking on the link to my guestbook (at the bottom of the page) and leaving feedback and your site suggestion. Good luck with your research!

Below are links to both the Lexis and Westlaw guides to researching taxation on their systems. These are not web documents, but ones in Adobe Acrobat Reader format. If you do not already have Adobe Acrobat Reader (free) on your home PC, you can go to the site to download it by clicking here. If you plan to access these in one of the University's computer/PC labs, the lab PC's should already have Adobe Acrobat Reader available. When you click on either of the links below, you should get a screen which prompts you to either "save this file to disk", or "open" it. If you are using one of the PC labs on campus, you should try "Open" as your choice, and your PC should open Adobe Acrobat Reader, and then open whichever research guide you clicked on within Adobe. If you know that you have AAR on your home PC as well, the "open" option may work for you there as well. If you do not have AAR at home, you'll probably want to select the "save this file to disk" option, and then open the saved file in AAR after you have installed AAR.
