What is Cockney Rhyming Slang?
Cockney rhyming slang originated in London. It provided the lower classes a way of talking that the upper classes couldn't understand. Good for keeping jobs and keeping police from knowing what crimes might be afoot.
How do I use it?
For a word like believe, the equivalent slang is Adam and Eve. In this case, I've seen the whole thing used but you could, presumably, say, "Time to Adam," as you plummet from an airplane. (Keep in mind, I'm no expert.)
How does poetry fit in?
If you don't know, then obviously you did not read my poetry excerpts. For an example, try Dear Jeannie. Otherwise, the point is just to play with language. Come on. It's fun. You know you want to. All the other kids are doing it.
I want to play now!
Of course you do!
