Mini Project A - Develop Data Flow Diagrams (DFD).
In this part of the project you are concentrating in creating a blueprint of the mail order system for Voice, using DFDs. You should use Freelance or another graphical package.
- create first a high-level or contextual DFD.
- explode this diagram in a second-level, more detailed DFD.
- explode the second-level DFD in as many DFDs necessary to show the details of the work flow (at least three, remember the I-P-O model).
- explode these third-level diagrams, if necessary to show further details of the work flow.
- when should you stop exploding to lower levels? There is no simple answer -- you should stop exploding when all details of the case (or real life situation) are included in the diagrams.
