8:00 AM to 12:00 PM 
"MED Doctoral Consortium" by Rick Abderhalden (rica@u.washington.edu) and Patricia M. Fandt (pmfandt@u.washington.edu) is moved from its usual Saturday slot to Sunday morning for doctoral students from all management disciplines who are in transition from student to teacher. Consortium facilitators include David Van Fleet and David Lemak. This consortium receives high praise each year from its doctoral student participants. Please contact Rick or Patricia if you know a doctoral student to recommend for the consortium.

8:00-10:00 AM "Understanding, Designing and Implementing Spirituality in Management Courses and Practice" by Sandra King (sandraking@mindspring.com) involves a team of experienced educators (Jerry Biberman, Lee Robbins and Michael Whitty) who have long been involved in examining spirituality in both their own practice and that of other academics. The workshop is intended to have broad applicability for designing courses in OB/Management, Business and Society, OD/OT, HRM/IR, Management and Diversity, and International Business.

8:00-10:00 AM "Creating a Communication-Focused business Curriculum" by Mary C. Meisenhelter (mmeisenh@ycp.edu) show cases York College of Pennsylvania's innovative approach to introducing and reinforcing written and oral communications skill development in each course of the core curriculum through a unique collaboration between business faculty (presenters Normandie Gaitley, Janice Jackson and Chris Meisenhelter and Becky Smith) and liberal arts faculty (presenters Dominic Delli Carpini, Mary Grahan, Ken Slaysman).

10:00 AM-12:00 PM  "E-Media Journeys in the Pluralistic World of the Academy" by Charles Wankel (wankel@stjohns.edu) convenes leading innovators and promoters of electronic media use in the academy (Roger Dunbar, Alan Eisner, Raghu Garud) to explore the future of electronic media in the Academy of Management and in the professional lives of its membership.

10:00 AM-12:00 PM "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do" by Peter Frost (frost@unixg.ubc.ca) and Carolyn Egri appropriately concludes the PDW program by illustrating the principles of ending educational experiences (whether courses or conferences) with high impact, meaning-rich closure.
